Residencies

The Arts

The Arts are structured according to the request of school leadership. Each can vary in length, and are designed to expose students to a decided art form. Maybe you want your students to attend performances or visit partner locations like the Schomburg, or Jerome Robbins library, or if desired by the school, to prepare for an end of program showcase.

Meditative Arts

Martial Arts, Yoga, Meditation, are all examples of the Meditative Arts. Each takes you on a very specific journey towards the inner self, and are beneficial to the management of stress, and increasing self awareness. Our classes uniquely incorporates elements of these practices and can help to introduce the practice of self-care, and build on health and wellness.

Creating the Experience

Which discipline works best for your community? Is it a Dance class? Do you imagine a Mentoring program? How about Yoga or Visual Arts? The Artists we invite to join our team stretch across a number of disciplines via the performing and healing arts. Let’s meet, imagine, design and make it happen!!

“Our most important goal is to ensure that students have an amazing experience of discovery and sharing”

Workshops

Arts Immersion Day!

We will craft full day Arts experiences for your school community. By bringing in a team of artists we will meet with students, design breakout rooms, and create dances, songs, poetry and more for a fun interactive experience that leads to an in house performance showcase designed to help build, define, and strengthen your schools culture.

Mindfulness

Designed for all ages, and communities. Give your School staff or students an introduction to Meditation, deep breathing and stress reducing activities. This workshop will help to recharge and reignite the creative light within the participants by taking them on an interactive process of movement, and mindfulness activities. Our goal is to re-discover the joy of self and how to stay engaged for the long haul of teaching, learning and possibly life!

Audition prep

Students with an interest in attending a specialized High school will need specific information to walk in the room with confidence. From what color tights to wear, to what is a tendu, to how to submit a video for an acting reel properly. We can prepare students to find greater success by giving them the necessary tools for this daunting process.

Are you looking for a specific type of Artist?

Every school is looking for the right Artists for their community.

If you know what you need, but have difficulty finding that person or group, then let us help. We will scour the City in every theater, studio, and park, to find the best creative, or company that meets your goals.

The Planning Process

  • Meet with a member of our team to discuss the scope of your ideas, and goals you look to achieve. We will take notes and begin working to craft your program.

  • Let’s explore the Art form you would like, and we can continue to craft your program to how you imagine it inspiring your school community.

  • When and where will we be able to complete our work. This part allows our team to secure the best artists that have the availability and skillset to reach our goals.

  • Time to get students committed and working towards reaching the set goals!

  • After weeks of preparation all things should be in place for our students to share their work and discoveries with peers, teachers and families.
